“I
f
you
are
struggling
in
the
bus
ministry
or
with
your
bus
route,
before
you
scramble
to
find
that
next
promotion,
invest
some
time
in
seeking
God’s
power.
You
can’t
have
a
successful
route
or
ministry
without
the
touch
of
God.
Ask
God
to
help
you
see
your
route
as
He
sees
it.
May
I
challenge
you
to
walk
or
drive
your
route
and
pray
for
God’s
power
on
your
ministry.
We
need
some
bus
directors,
bus
captains
and
bus
workers
who
will
wrestle
with
God
until
His
power
falls
on their route. “
The Investment of the Bus Ministry
By William Tyson
When
I
think
of
the
bus
ministry
I
think
of
the
Great
Commission.
Every
Sunday
at
WBC,
13
buses
and
vans
go
out
into
the
highways
and
edges
bringing
boys
and
girls
to
Sunday
School.
Running
a
bus
ministry
and
being
effective
at
it
requires
dedication,
time
and
the
power
of
God!
We
have
been
blessed
over
the
years
to
have
many
men
and
women
who
are
committed to the bus ministry and are willing to work and pay the price reach the lost for Christ.
Sadly,
we
are
living
in
a
time
when
individuals
and
even
churches
want
immediate
“returns”
on
our
investment
and
are
seeking
what
we
perceive
as
instant
gratification.
But
I
am
reminded
of
Galatians
6:9,
“
And
let
us
not
be
weary
in
well
doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” >>

I
was
so
happy
to
see
the
blue
bus
ride
by
my
current
neighborhood
last
Sunday.
I
am
currently
30
years
old,
but
remember
Mr.
Mike
coming
to
my
old
neighborhood
Foxglen
apartments
as
a
child
and
picking
up
all
the
children
he
could
fit
on
the
bus.
I
thank
you
for
introducing
my
sister
and
I
to
our
lord
and
Savior
Jesus
Christ,
I
believe
we
were
about
6
and
5
when
we
started
to
go
to
church
on
the
blue
bus.
I
remember
church
was
held
at
Duvall
High
school,
I
remember
learning
of
the
love
of
God,
the
fun
church
songs,
the
Easter
egg
hunts,
the
colored
picture
contests
and
all
the
candy
:
D.
I'd
like
to
just
say
thank
you
for
all
you
do
in
the
community
and
for
all
you
do
for
the
body
of
Christ.
I
had
a
pretty
tough
life
but
had
it
not
been
for
the
knowledge
of
the
lord
and
knowing
I
could
go
to
him
for
anything
and
everything
I
can't
say
I
would
have
survived
this
long.
What
a
mighty
god
we
serve!
I
just
want
to
tell
you
your
works
are
awesome,
and
I
pray
God
will
bless
you
all
and
your
families
abundantly.
I
thank
God
in
Jesus
name
for
such
an
awesome
group
of
people
he
has
placed
on
this
earth
to
encourage
and
teach
the
word
of
God.
God
bless
you
all
and
thank you so much for the greatest gift I ever received and that is the knowledge and love of God and Jesus Christ.
By Sade Dennis - Woodlawn Baptist Church (Jr. Church)
When
I
was
in
the
5th
grade,
a
good
girlfriend
of
mine
told
me
about
"A
Blue
Bus"
that
would
take
us
to
church.
She
had
gone
several
times
herself
along
with
her
brother
and
two
sisters.
This
was
really
pivotal
for
me
because
the
church
I
had
gone
to
for
the
last
couple
of
years
with
my
best
friend
and
her
parents,
disbanded.
During
that
time
my
parents
were
not
regular
church
goers,
but
never
minded
me
going.
In
fact,
they
would
get
me
dressed
and
fed
and
ready
for
my
pick
up.
What
made
the
disbanding
and
subsequent
closing
of
the
church
really
sad
because
it
was
where
I
had
been
discipled
and
very
active
in
church
activities
and
ministry.
I
was
one
of
the
wise
men
in
the
church
play
as
well
as
being
in
the
choir,
not
to
mention
regularly
attended
Sunday
and
mid
week
services
with
my
best
friend's
family.
I
wondered
how
I
would
continue to go to church and be active again.
So
the
news
of
a
"blue
bus"
coming
to
come
all
the
way
to
Hyattsville
to
come
and
pick
me
was
very
exciting.
I
even
invited
my
best
friend.
I
was
on
Brother
Joe
and
Sister
Nancy's
bus
route.
I
still
remember
Brother
Joe's
cool
glasses
and
Sister
Nancy's
really
long
and
pretty
hair,
not
to
mention
both
of
their
warm
smiles.
I
(along
with
my
two
friends
and
their
siblings)
became
regulars
of
the
Blue
Bus
Ministry,
memorizing
all
of
the
scriptures
assigned,
singing
on
the
bus
on
the
way
to
church,
and
inviting
others.
I
also
earned
my
fair
share
of
pop-corn,
candy,
and
other
treats.
My
girlfriends
and
I
even
did
a
four
part
harmony
on
the
stage
one
Sunday!
The
Blue
Bus
ministry
was
such
a
blessing
to
me,
God
used
it
to
disciple
during
such
a
precious time in my life. I am so proud to say that I am a product of this ministry!
By Kyle & Timecia Emerson
This Kyle Emerson, Sr. Aka Da Preacher. I was invited to church service in 1995 at Arlington Baptist Church in El Cerritos, CA
under the preaching of Dr.. Callaghan. He preached on Hell. I thought I was saved. Then he took his Bible and lead me to the
LORD. Immediately I started a bus route at the age of twenty. Nine years later came down to Bible college at Texas Baptist
College now known as Texas Independent Baptist Seminary where I met and married my wife. We have two children serving the
Lord in the Bus Ministry also.
This

Kyle’s
wife,
Timecia
Emerson.
I
was
saved
under
the
preaching
of
Dr.
Scott
Gray
during
a
chapel
service
in
college.
I
was
involved
in
the
bus
ministry
at
a
prior
church.
I
rode
the
bus
to
church
as
an
adult.
When
I
came
to
college
I
became
involved
in
the
bus
ministry
as
a
worker.
As
time
passed
we
began
experiencing
a
bus
driver
shortage.
Captains
were
having
to
drive
their
own
bus
and
lead
a
program
from
behind
the
wheel.
There
were
times
routes
couldn’t
run
because
there
were
not
any
drivers.
Seeing
this
shortage
I
became
burdened.
I
decided
that
if
someone
will
not
drive
the
bus,
I
will.
I
asked
my
bus
captain
if
he
would
be
patient
with
me
I
would
get
my
CDL.
Not
only
was
he
patient
but
he
helped
train
me
to
drive
the
bus.
I
have
been
driving church buses for 19 years. I even drove while I was pregnant for a little while. Thank you for reading our testimonies.
